Yellowjackets News · Perham Winter Activities Spectator Policy

Perham High School Activities Department will follow the recommendations of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota State High School League for spectators at its winter sporting events. The guidelines specify two spectators per participant. Participants include players, coaches and managers.

Attendance at winter sporting events is capped at 150 spectators and participants of each winter activity have received or will receive a link from their coaches with a code to enter in two names for each event. The list includes a person’s name, email address and telephone number for contact tracing. The list of spectators will be made available to ticket takers at the game.

To adhere to the 150 spectator cap, it is requested that fans stay only for the level of the game their participant is in. If a group has participants just playing on the C-team, it is asked that they leave following the conclusion of that game. Same applies for members on just the junior varsity as well.

Spectators are required to wear masks while attending the game at all times. Fans must social distance in the stands as well. Households are allowed to sit together, but all others, including students, should please maintain six feet between themselves throughout the game. Concessions will not be available during the event.

Spectators are asked not to remain in the gym following the conclusion of the game and are asked not to interact with participants on the gym floor after the game is over.

Perham, and the Heart O’Lakes Conference, will be charging admission at the door. For fans unable to attend Yellowjacket events, Lakes 99.5 will be broadcasting a majority of the games and a live video stream will be provided in most venues. Information on the video stream can be found on and by clicking on “Activity Stream”.

These policies are subject to change upon guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota State High School League.
